Healing

The Lord has been highlighting to me lately the need for his church to see the full Christ and all that He has done! An area I believe we as the church have failed to see Christ clearly is in the area of physical healing. I believe Christ died for the redemption of the entire man, that means body, soul, and spirit. If that is the case, why is there so many sick among us? Why am I still fighting diabetes? Why are so many of my believing friends and family struggling with physical ailments? Is it because God wants it that way? Is it because God in His sovereignty chooses that His kids be sick? Or could it be that we need to “grow up into Christ in all things”-Ephesians 4:15 and see what life and healing there is in the Son?

“My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your sight; keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are life to those who find them and health to all their body.”-Proverbs 4:20-22

This passage talks about constantly giving attention to God’s words and sayings. For they will bring life and health to those who find them. How do you find something you are already giving attention to? You already have it…how do you find it? That word find in Hebrew has the idea of finding out thoroughly, exploring, even attaining to. I believe that God’s desire to heal, and even His paying for our healing at the whipping post is made clear through His word and His sayings. Now we are called to continue to look to the truth, look to Christ, until we fully see, until we find the truth!

I want to encourage you to start doing this yourself daily. Ask God to help you find the truth, ask Him for revelation of the truth. Ask God to help you see Christ and to author faith in your heart. Get in the word and listen for God’s sayings daily until we find them!
